Announcing the DC Official Discord Server | DC (2024)

If there’s one thing that’s become clear since we published our first comic book nearly ninety years ago, it’s that DC fans are a passionate bunch. You always have something to say, whether you’re discussing the latest issue of Superman, the newest DC animated movie, our latest clothing partnership or any of the exciting new films and TV shows DC has in development. And we love that! We’ve always really appreciated this quality in our fans and want to encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts, theories and opinions. That’s why, starting in July, we’re launching an all-new place for you to discuss DC with your fellow fans—the DC Official Discord server.

If you’re familiar with Discord, you know what to expect. If not, there’s never been a better time for you to dive in. In the DC Official Discord server, you’ll be able to connect with your existing friends and make plenty of new ones as you play games together, join exclusive community events, read comics, watch livestreams, or just hang out and discuss whatever you feel like.

Launching This Summer

The DC Official Discord server will be launching in July, with channels devoted to DC comics, movies, games and more, as well as to some of your favorite superheroes within the DC Universe. There will also be space for you to share your DC fanart and cosplay, engage in spoiler chats and discuss things that are off topic. For those of you who literally like to be heard, you’ll be able to set up voice and video channels to talk with your friends, plus take part in official polls, quizzes, community games and more. You can look for a rotating schedule of content and programming that’s sure to keep you busy all month, every month. And all this is just the beginning! We’re currently at work on some fun new server features that we’ll be rolling out after launch, so keep an eye out for more announcements soon.

DC’s New Community

With so much on offer, the DC Official Discord server will be the place for DC fans to connect and engage with other fans across the world. That means that we’ll soon be saying goodbye to DC’s current community site, which will be moving to a read-only format on August 5, and closing down permanently on September 2, 2024. But current DC Community membership comes with some unique perks when we launch the server, including a unique “DC Community Original” role in the DC Official Discord server as well as access to an exclusive private channel. Plus, some of your favorite DC Community features, like Ask…the Question, Mixtape Monday and our creator Q&As will continue on.

In the weeks ahead, keep an eye out for further info on the server launch, including details on join incentives, upcoming content, a special DC Prize Pack giveaway and of course, the date all this is happening. We’re looking forward to meeting so many of you as you help us shape the DC Official Discord server into the vibrant, living, diverse community that we know it will become.

After all, we have so much to talk about.
